How We Grade #1 Copper
#1 copper is clean tube, bus bar, and solids free of paint, solder, and attachments. One soldered fitting left on a length of pipe can downgrade it, so we cut and grade fairly at the scale.

- Keep tube dry and free of insulation foam
- Bus bar and heavy solids count — don't toss them in mixed bins
